Farmer Finds Missing Buffalo After 8 Months – When He Gets Closer, He Turns Pale

“It can’t be…” he whispered. His breath caught as he blinked, convinced it had to be a trick of the light. But the buffalo was still there—solid, unmistakably real.

Slowly, he stepped forward, the brittle twigs snapping beneath his boots sounding far too loud in the hush of the forest. He feared even the smallest noise might cause her to vanish like a dream.

Could it truly be her? After all these months of searching and hoping?

“Daisy?” he called softly, heart pounding with a wild hope. He half expected her to gallop toward him, to nuzzle into his arms like she always had. But what happened next stopped him cold.

The buffalo’s ears twitched at the sound of her name. She raised her head and locked eyes with him. In that moment, he knew—those deep brown eyes were hers. It was Daisy.

But instead of rushing toward him, she stood frozen, watching him with suspicion. Her stance was unfamiliar—rigid, guarded.

“Hey girl, it’s me,” Bill murmured, taking another step.

Daisy took one back.

Then she dipped her head low, muscles tensing in a way he hadn’t seen before. It wasn’t recognition—it was warning.

Bill froze, lifting both hands. “Easy… easy now.”

His heart ached with confusion. What had changed her so deeply? What had happened to his gentle companion while she was gone?
